Kathmandu, Nepal – June 16, 2025 – Sarovar Hotels, a leading hotel management company and part of Louvre Hotels Group, has announced the debut of the Royal Tulip brand in Nepal with the launch of Royal Tulip Kathmandu. Situated in Gwarko, Lalitpur, this new luxury hotel is set to be the country’s largest by room capacity and the premier venue for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) in the capital.
Developed by The Massif Hotel Pvt. Ltd., the hotel marks the arrival of the internationally recognized Royal Tulip brand in Kathmandu, blending premium hospitality with local cultural flair. As part of Louvre Hotels Group’s upscale offerings, Royal Tulip is known for its refined elegance, high-end amenities, and global service standards.

Strategically located on Ring Road, just 3.5 km from Tribhuvan International Airport, Royal Tulip Kathmandu features an impressive 308 rooms and suites, claiming the title of Nepal’s largest hotel by number of keys. Designed for both business and leisure travellers, the property offers modern comforts, elevated experiences, and exceptional service.
Royal Tulip Kathmandu redefines grandeur in the capital’s hospitality landscape, not only with its 308 exquisitely designed rooms across four distinguished categories, but also by introducing Kathmandu’s largest convention centre. Spanning over 30,000 sq. ft. of versatile event space, the hotel offers grand banquet halls of approximately 11,000 sq. ft. each, six additional meeting rooms, and breakout areas. Currently, the hotel is operational with 104 keys and has launched two signature food and beverage outlets:
