Three members of a family have died of Covid-19 infection in Khaijanapur village of Triyuga municipality-2 in the district. Raman Pokharel, 43, died 15 days ago, Hem Raj Pokharel, 38, a week later, and Devi Pokharel, 36, died on Friday night, according to the ward chair Dhaman Singh Khatri.

As a result, the village has been sealed off, since Saturday night after the infection spread. According to Ward Chair Khatri, the entire village has been sealed, from Saturday night to July 8, after more than five dozen villagers were found to be infected with cough and cold, and fever. 

According to Mohan Subedi, Chief of the Health Office in Udayapur, Covid-19 infection that was on the decline in the district until,10 days ago, has started increasing again in the past week. The RT-PCR and antigen testing of all the villagers has been started by mobilizing a team of health workers since this morning after the infection resurfaced in Khaijanpur. 

After the spread of the infection, the area southeast of Khaijanpur has been sealed off up to Jogidaha and to Bhulke in the west, and to the Triyuga riverbank in the north. Shops for daily necessities are allowed to be opened only from 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning.
