Kathmandu, June 5, 2025 – Himalaya Airlines, one of Nepal’s leading international carriers, commemorated its 10th anniversary with a vibrant celebration held at Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu. The event brought together key figures from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, and enthusiastic members of the Himalaya Airlines H9 team members in a festive tribute to a decade of success.
The occasion was highlighted by the presence of His Excellency Mr. Chen Song, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Nepal, who served as the Chief Guest. Among other notable attendees were Mr. Mukesh Dangol, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and Mr. Deo Chandra Lal Karn, Deputy Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

In their speeches, the dignitaries commended Himalaya Airlines for its significant role in strengthening Nepal’s aviation industry, boosting international connectivity, and supporting tourism and trade. The airline currently operates flights connecting Nepal with several key destinations including China, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, Malaysia, and Bangladesh.
The event featured vibrant cultural performances by Himalaya Airlines employees, showcasing traditional Nepali music, dance, and ethnic costumes. The celebration served not only as a reflection of the airline’s achievements but also as a heartfelt acknowledgment of the support from its staff, partners, and loyal passengers.

Since its establishment in 2014 and the launch of commercial flights in 2016, Himalaya Airlines has consistently expanded its presence, positioning itself as a dependable international airline with a growing network across Asia and the Middle East.
Looking ahead, the airline is dedicated to further improving its service quality, expanding its routes, and playing a key role in realizing Nepal’s ambition to become a major aviation hub in South Asia.
