Best Western Plus Godawari Resort officially celebrated its grand opening on Thursday, 12 February 2026, in Godawari, Lalitpur, marking a significant milestone in Nepal’s upscale hospitality sector. The occasion also featured the announcement of a new property, Best Western Plus Bhairahawa, an 85-room hotel set to expand the brand’s footprint in Nepal.

The resort was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. Anil Kumar Sinha, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies of Nepal, who cut the ceremonial ribbon to formally commence operations. Addressing the gathering, Minister Sinha expressed his delight at the launch, stating, “Nepal can do it and Nepalis are doing it,” while congratulating the management team and wishing the property continued success in its future endeavours.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Harry Dong, President and CEO of Best Western Hotels for China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mongolia, Macau and Nepal. Other distinguished guests included the General Director of Tourism, the Division Forest Officer, an FNCCI Director, and Mr. Binayak Shah, President of Hotel Association Nepal (HAN), alongside industry stakeholders, media representatives and invited guests.

Developed by Godawari Forest Hotel Limited, Best Western Plus Godawari Resort features 83 rooms across various categories. The property offers two restaurants located on the first and seventh floors, a fitness and wellness centre, an enclosed swimming pool, and well-equipped business and conference halls. A key highlight is its rooftop 360-degree viewpoint, offering panoramic views of Godawari and the surrounding hills.
