Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment of Gandaki Province, Bikas Lamsal, has expressed commitment that the provincial government would invest in the protection and development of a historic Galkot Kotghar.

After visiting the Galkot Kotghar located at Galkot municipality-3 today, Minister Lamsal said that the government should construct infrastructure, the private sector should invest and civil society should make positive publicity for the development of tourism.

He said, "Foreign tourists will visit Nepal once the world returns to normalcy after the COVID-19 pandemic. Let's construct the infrastructures and catch the opportunity." The Minister further said that a plan would be forwarded where the tourism of Baglung would make great stride. On the occasion, he also visited Sahashradhara waterfall and Galkot Durbar.

Minister Lamsal also inaugurated the Galkot COVID-19 Temporary Hospital and Municipal Hospital today itself.
