In the 4th Annual General Meeting of the Nepal Tourist Transport Business Association (NTVA) of Gandaki Province, the government has been requested to give high priority to further promoting the tourism Industry.
Stating that businessmen are being hit by high-interest rates, the government's support is necessary for reducing interest rates and extending the period of bank installments.
Santosh Neupane, the central president of the association, pointed out the need to implement the concession program effectively in order to protect the businesses affected by Covid.
The outgoing President of NTVA Gandaki, Boberjung Gurung said that the rate of tourist transport has been prepared in a very scientific manner and asked the businessmen to maintain uniformity accordingly. Durgadatta Dahal, vice president and program coordinator of NTVA Gandaki, advisor and former president of Pokhara Tourism Council Kedarnath Sharma, Vikas Kandel, Janak Karki, and others spoke at the event.
The General Assembly appointed Prakash Kumar Shrestha as the vacant General Secretary of the organization, Vikas Kandel as Secretary, and Suman Kunwar and Anandraj Adhikari as members.
"The business-friendly policy and behavior of the state is necessary for this, saying that the tourism business has been destroyed due to the corona crisis and other factors,” said the speaker of the program.
“The high-interest rates of banks and financial institutions have caused more problems in the tourism sector, which has been devastated by the corona crisis,” said Pomnarayan Shrestha, chairman of the Pokhara Tourism Council.
