On the occasion of Valentine's Day, a crowd of people has gathered at Mayalu Danda about half an hour away from Benibazar, the district headquarters of Myagdi.
The arrival of youths has increased in Mayalu Danda in the last few days as compared to the previous ones
For the past few days, the youths coming to Mayalu Danda have been carrying roses as well as various types of gifts. After the beginning of Valentine’s Day, the youths who used to bring different dishes for lunch were seen exchanging roses and flowers of different species.
The number of youths coming here in vehicles like bikes, scooters and other vehicles dressed in various modern attires has increased in the last few days. With the increase in the number of youths, the trade of agricultural produce and fruits has also increased here.
The attraction of tourists has increased after the construction of railings, golghars, lunch houses and other infrastructures in Mayalu Danda. 'Khara ko Dando', located near Khabara village has now become Mayalu Danda.
According to locals, one can see the scenery around Mayalu Danda and people come in search of coolness in the summer. The younger generation has reached the younger generation on a daily basis by forming groups after the last time Lovely Hill became a place where a limited number of people used to reach. Benibazar, Galeshwor, Paulastya Ashram, Pulachaur, Swargashram of Bhakimli, Parbat Beni and Mallaj can be seen from Lovely Hill, which is half an hour away from Beni.
Similarly, most parts of Myagdi district as well as Jaljala rural municipality of the northern mountain, dhaulagiri, Annapurna mountain, the seventh highest peak in the world, and sunrise and sunset can also be seen. The flow of Myagdi and Kaligandaki rivers flowing from the area around Benibazar can also be seen.
“A crowd of youths has been gathering at Mayalu Danda located at Khabara of Beni Municipality-2 since this morning,” said Chandra Bahadur Karki, a local.
“More than 300 youths from myagdi, Baglung, Parbat and myagdi districts who have been visiting myagdi for the past three days have come here to enjoy and exchange love,” said Narayan Karki, owner of Lovely Hill Restaurant and Grocery Shop.
