COVID-19: 482 new cases confirmed, death toll hits 30

The total number of COVID-19 infected people in Nepal has reached 14046 with four hundred and eighty-two new cases today. Of them, 365 are men and 117 are women.

Four hundred and eighty-two new COVID-19 cases including 365 men and 117 women have been confirmed across the country on Wednesday alone. With this, the number of coronavirus infection people has reached 14,046 (12,272 men and 1,774 women).

According to Dr Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, 4,656 infected people have been discharged from health institutions across the country after being cured. Of the infected, 2,071 children below 18 years of age had returned home from Indian cities along with their parents.

A 45-year-old man of Ramaroshan Rural Municipality-5 in Achham District died from the virus at Bayalpata Hospital today, said Dr Gautam. The deceased was admitted to the hospital on June 27 after suffering from respiratory problems. With this, the death toll has hit 30.
