CM Poudel pledges to provide sufficient budget against COVID

The chief minister seeks support from all sides to the campaign of controlling the spread of virus which may cause catastrophe in the Bagmati State.



Bagmati State chief minister Dormani Poudel said he will not allow insufficiency of budget in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Issuing a directive to the concerned authorities in the meeting of COVID Crisis Management Committee in Hetauda, he said now is the time to be more sensitive to the control and prevention of coronavirus as the frontline security personnel and health workers are also under the grip of infection lately.

He further saw the need to enforce curfew or lockdown keeping into consideration the situation of late. The meeting attended by minister for internal affairs and law Shalikram Jamakattel, minister for industry, tourism, forest and environment Arun Nepal, chief political advisor of the chief minister JN Thapaliya and district coordination committee chief Raghunath Khulal dwelt on the policy the state government should adopt in the prevention and control of coronavirus.
