The Beshishahar-Chame road in Lamjung District that was disrupted a week back due to landslide has not resumed yet. Landslides had occurred in various places of the 65-kilometre road that links Lamjung with Manang.

The landslide had occurred at Kharkhare Bhir, Puwakhola and Ram Bazar in Marsyangdi rural municipality, Ghoptebhir, Syage, Chaymche, Myagdi among others. Landslide debris is yet to be removed from Chaymche and Myagdi, according to Road Division Office, Damauli's sub engineer Suman Adhikari. Adhikari said that landslide debris would be cleared from these two places within a day or two.

Since the landslide occurred in these places was huge in size, excavators were taking longer to remove. The incessant rain also caused a delay in removing the debris due to recurring landslides.

Commuters have been compelled to take a perilous journey through the landslide-hit road. Every year, monsoon-induced disasters lead to road disruption.
