Barahi Jungle Lodge, situated in Chitwan, has recently completed a cleanup initiative within the Chitwan National Park vicinity. The lodge reported that approximately three tractor loads of waste, including plastic and glass bottles, were collected. Tej Thanet, the lodge's food and beverage manager, highlighted that the cleanup efforts extended from the river area to Golaghat, a distance of three kilometers downstream from the lodge. He stressed the importance of involving all stakeholders in maintaining the park's cleanliness, emphasizing the role of local authorities in this endeavor.

Thanet mentioned that the lodge conducts such cleanups annually as part of its commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development. Additionally, the lodge has received recognition as an eco-certified establishment under the 'Toft Tiger' program, reflecting its dedicated focus on environmental conservation. Since 2015, the lodge has consistently earned certification in the Outstanding Practice category.

Furthermore, Barahi Jungle Lodge recently obtained certification for its international-level Environmental Management Systems (EMS) under ISO-14001 standards. Situated along the Rapti River in Chitwan Meghauli, the lodge embodies a jungle-themed ambiance. Spanning 12 hectares within its premises, the lodge offers guests the opportunity to appreciate the flowing waters of the Rapti River and observe diverse wildlife, including giraffes, tigers, bears, crocodiles, and various bird species within Chitwan National Park.

Operating since 2013, this resort stands out not only for its scenic beauty but also for its commitment to environmental sustainability.
