A festival held in Chitwan for promotion of indigenous products

The Chitwan festival is centred on improving the district’s of socioeconomic and cultural change.

The Chitwan Festival started on the bank of Narayani River from the 10th of January, 2023. This festival is held with the agenda to commercially promote the indigenous products of chitwan , that will help people with their economic and social livelihood. 

Outgoing Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply at Bagmati Province, Milan Babu Shrestha, inaugurated the Festival amidst a programme.

The festival has several stalls including agricultural products, autos, products that are made in Nepal, electronics and IT. The event this time has focused on promoting indigenous products of Chitwan like mustard oil and apiary for socioeconomic and cultural transformation of the district.

On the occasion, Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Renu Dahal, said, “The Festival would contribute to the entire development of the district. It fosters economic activities.”

The Festival would run till January 18._RSS
