The Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN) organized the event, which saw participation from Executive Committee members, former EC members, the Secretariat Team, and various member agencies. The celebrations emphasized Sagarmatha (Everest) as a symbol of Nepal's identity and pride.

A lively rally began the day's events, starting from Thamel, a bustling tourist area in Kathmandu, and proceeding to Nepal Pragya Pratisthan in Kamaladi. The rally, featuring banners and flags, showcased the collective pride and significance of Everest to the Nepali people. Key figures from NATTA, including President Mr. Ramesh Thapa, Secretary General Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya, and other executive members, joined the march, reflecting the collaborative efforts to promote Nepal's tourism and honor its mountaineering heritage.

At Nepal Pragya Pratisthan, the celebration included speeches, cultural performances, and inspiring stories related to Everest. The event honored the legendary Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary, whose historic ascent symbolizes human perseverance and adventure. Mr. Ramesh Thapa, in his speech, emphasized the enduring legacy of Everest and its vital role in enhancing Nepal’s global image. He stressed the importance of preserving the mountain's environment and promoting sustainable tourism. Secretary General Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya highlighted the economic and cultural benefits tourism brings to Nepal. He called for ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and safety for trekkers and climbers, ensuring Nepal remains a top destination for adventure seekers worldwide.
