 The 44th World Tourism Day will be celebrated in Thamel with the grand "Thamel नख:" festival. Organized by the Thamel Tourism Development Council (TTDC) in collaboration with The Kathmandu Post, this event is scheduled for 27th September 2024. It will transform the streets of Thamel into a lively carnival, marking the 44th anniversary of World Tourism Day with a vibrant showcase of culture, music, art, and cuisine.

At the press meet held on 19th September 2024, a preview of the exciting experiences awaiting both tourists and locals was presented. With seven distinct experiential zones spread across Thamel, visitors will have the chance to dive into a rich blend of CULTURE, CUISINE, and MUSIC, making Thamel नख: a truly unforgettable celebration.

Thamel नख: – A Cultural Extravaganza Designed to capture the essence of Thamel as a bustling tourism hub, Thamel नख: will feature a variety of activities that honor Nepal’s cultural heritage while embracing contemporary influences. The event aims to unite locals and tourists in a dynamic celebration of tradition and modernity.
