With this in total, the park houses 176 bird species, said conservation officer at the park, Rupak Maharjan. "It is a matter of encouragement to protect wildlife that such a number of bird species has been spotted in the park that spans 425 hectares of area," he said.

The newly spotted birds include rare steppe eagle and white backed vulture, near threatened Himalayan vulture, local and migratory birds.
