All attendees came together to mingle and spread the Christmas spirit

On Friday, November 16, Hotel Annapurna held its annual cake mixing event at the Juneli Bar Terrace to celebrate the upcoming holiday season. Attendees were former Miss Nepal’s, and leading women from embassies, banks, travel industries and other organisations. The event began with drinks such as mulled wine and snacks offered to the guests, then a briefing of the history on cake mixing, which began in the 17thcentury in Europe, marking the upcoming harvest season.

After, CEO, Raju Bikram Shah said, “For the past three decades in the hotel industry, I have always cherished the celebrations of gathering with our friends and patrons for the cake mixing, at least a month in advance of Christmas, since it sets the festive mood in without any personal religious preference as I enjoy participating in many other traditions too. Eventually, we have them displayed and offered for sale in our Bakery during the Christmas holidays.”

Next, the fruit, nut and liquor mixing commenced. Guests started feeling the Christmas spirit as they stirred up the 50 kg of ingredients with love! Soaking for a month's time allows the ingredients to drench in the amalgamation of spices and liquors. The event ended on a wonderful note, all attendees came together to mingle and spread the Christmas spirit.
