In a bid to enhance the convenience of tourists visiting Domukha, a popular tourist destination in Shivasatakshi municipality of Jhapa, a newly constructed 'truss bridge' spanning the Nunmati river has been unveiled. The construction of this 24-meter-long truss bridge, aimed at facilitating tourist movement, comes at a total cost of Rs. 33,75,871.
Mayor Megahang Topra revealed that the funding for the bridge was sourced from the federal suspension bridge regional program (Rs. 28,69,490) and Shivasatakshi Municipality's contribution. Technical assistance for the project was provided by Sahara Nepal. The completion of this infrastructure is anticipated to boost the influx of both domestic and foreign tourists to Domukha.
Domukha has recently emerged as a focal point for tourists, prompting concerted efforts to develop targeted roads and other essential infrastructure. The collaborative investment of the municipality, provincial, and federal governments has been instrumental in constructing bridges, roads, and other physical amenities, further solidifying Domukha's appeal as a sought-after destination for travellers._Rss
