The attraction of domestic tourists has increased at Rola Jharna in Majthana, located in Pokhara Metropolitan City 28. Recently, the activity of domestic tourists has also increased at the picturesque waterfall in the middle of the forest.
There is a daily crowd of tourists who enjoy the view of the sixty-five-meter-high waterfall, swim in the water, and feel the coolness. Local initiatives have become important to protect and develop the waterfall as a tourist destination, considering the situation behind the waterfall despite its accessibility and abundant potential.
Earlier in the year 2073, with the construction of the motor road leading to the waterfall from Neta on the initiative of the locals, the Rola waterfall came into the limelight. Currently, 500 to 1500 domestic tourists are coming daily. Every Saturday, there is a large crowd of revelers at the falls.
Along with the construction of the unpaved road to reach the waterfall, Trip Long Pvt.'s canonization has not been conducted for two years. It is inevitable to conduct tourist activities at the waterfall to increase the number of tourists.
Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward No. 28 constructed changing rooms and toilets two years ago. Bhola Ojha, John Chairperson of Lions International District 325 'K', informed that a trust waiting room was constructed at Rola Jharna at a total cost of Rs 120,000, with Rs 62,000 from the Lions Club of Pokhara and Rs 50,000 from the Nepal Lions Foundation.
At a distance of 50–60 meters from the waterfall, there is Dhodeli waterfall in the northeast, where the water is integrated, and Nilirah Twin waterfall in the lower part. A team including Kaski Constituency No. 1 Member of the House of Representatives, Man Bahadur Gurung, observed the on-site study of the waterfall and stressed that it will help the local residents in their income generation by making full use of the natural resources. MP Gurung said that in order to develop the tourist city of Pokhara as an important tourist destination, there is a need for all three levels of government to be responsible for building the necessary physical infrastructure by creating a master plan.
He promised that an immediate initiative would be taken to facilitate internal and external tourists by preparing various essential physical structures, including the facilities of the road to the waterfall and places to stay in case of rain. According to local Hariprasad Bastola, if a motor road is built from Syangkhudi, which is the catchment area of Begnas Lake, to Nilirahka waterfall in Chandikhola and a footpath is built to Rola and Dhodeli waterfalls, which are located about 100 meters from it, then a one-day package can be made. He believes that this will help prolong the stay of tourists.
From Talchok on the Prithviraj highway, you can reach Shishuwa and Mohoriya of the Begnastal section, looking at Begnastal, Khastetal, Maidital, and Rupatal from Lamaswara, and from Syangkhudi through Neta of Bastola village to reach the waterfall._Rss
