President Ramchandra Paudel recently met with a delegation led by Japanese MP and Chairman of the House of Representatives Judiciary Affairs Committee, Takewe Arata. During the courtesy meeting, President Paudel expressed his gratitude for Japan's constant and unconditional support in Nepal, highlighting the strong cultural ties between the two nations through Gautam Buddha and the robust relationship at the people's level.

The President particularly appreciated Japan's assistance in infrastructure, agriculture, and health sectors, noting the close alignment between the two countries in international forums on issues such as democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. According to his personal secretariat, President Paudel also expressed satisfaction with the growing number of Nepali students going to Japan to learn technology.

The Japanese delegation emphasized the desire of Japanese companies to invest in Nepal and urged the creation of a favorable environment for these investments, including the maintenance of good governance. They expressed delight in meeting many Nepalis studying in Japan who wish to return to Nepal and apply their technological skills. Additionally, the delegation suggested decentralizing economic activities from Kathmandu to other regions, facilitating opportunities for Nepalis to learn technology in Japan and contribute to their home country's development.
