Within a year of the addition of Nepal's longest suspension bridge connecting Baglung and Parvat, the construction of a 388-meter-long bridge was started to connect Baglung-4 Kudunle Fedi to Beni Municipality-1 Ratnechaur of Myagdi. In the same way, the same company has started construction of another 524-meter-long bridge on the Kaligandaki River to connect Baglung-4 Upallachaur to Jaljala Rural Municipality-8 Odare of Parbat.
The 388-meter-long suspension bridge connecting Baglung and Myagdi has reached the final stage of construction. The 'suspension bridge' division of the federal government started the construction of a bridge over the Dhodeni River connecting Beni-1 Ratnechaur in Myagdi to Baglung-4 Kudu one and a half years ago.
The 170-meter-high Kudu suspension bridge connecting Ratnechaur will facilitate travel between the two districts and help in tourism development. An agreement was signed with the construction company in May 2079 for the construction of the bridge.
"Even the longest bridge in Nepal was completed by our construction company Thani/BLT/Himshikhar. The work on the Kudunle Ratnechaur suspension bridge, which was started immediately after that, is now almost finished. The construction of a 524-meter-long suspension bridge connecting Baglung Bazar from Upallachaur to the mountains has been started by Srijita, Thani Himshikhar Company", said Narahari Khadka, a builder of Lama Suspension Bridge.
“The suspension bridge entrusted to his construction company is being completed before the due date. The bridge connecting Kudunle to Ratnechaur has been constructed at a cost of Rs 35 million.” Said Khadka.
“After the construction of the bridge, an hour's journey will be reduced to five minutes and it will be convenient for the general public who travel to Beni-Baglung through the footpath to market the vegetables and milk produced in Ratnechaur.” said Kumar Vikram chhetri, Baglung-4 Ward President
"The construction of the bridge connecting Myagdi by connecting with this ward has reached its final stage, while the construction of the bridge over the 524-meter-long Kaligandaki connecting Upallachaur's Gauridham to Jaljala Rural Municipality of Parbat has started. The construction of the bridge connecting Myagdi and Parbat from the same ward will improve Baglung's internal affairs. Tourism and business will flourish,” said Ward President chhetri.
“I opened the door for development by giving about six annas of land towards Baglung for free for the construction of the bridge. The construction of the bridge has been started at a cost of around Rs 7 crore.” said Land owner Rajendra Bahadur Ji._Rss
