The boost in tourists is bringing back hope for local business owners and showing positive signs for the area's economy

The Kanchenjunga region, famous for its stunning mountains, has seen more tourists lately. In the past three months, 650 visitors from other countries explored the base camp of Kanchenjunga Mountain. An equal number of people from within the country also visited, but we don't have the exact count for them.

Local hotel owners are happy about the increase in tourists and expect even more during the upcoming season from April to June. This year, more foreigners have visited compared to the last one, with 211 extra visitors. Last year, 439 foreigners came to Nepal.

This rise in tourists is helping the local businesses that were struggling because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Kanchenjunga area, which was quiet for a long time, is slowly getting back to normal, according to Man Kumar Limbu, the office secretary at the Council.

Tourism is crucial for the people living in the Kanchenjunga region as it brings in economic growth. The boost in tourists is bringing back hope for local business owners and showing positive signs for the area's economy. As more people visit Kanchenjunga, it is expected to help the local communities and bring life back to the tourism industry.
