The event celebrated Cathay Cargo's skilled employees living up to their motto "We Know How" and, crucially, recognized the trust and support from key partners in Nepal, including shippers, freight forwarders, and ground handlers (GHA's).

Cathay Cargo, a renowned global leader in the cargo industry, hosted a momentous event called "Wings of Excellence—Nepal" on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the elegant Kathmandu Marriott Hotel. This exceptional gathering served not only as a tribute to the exceptional expertise of Cathay Cargo's dedicated employees, who bring to life the company's inspiring motto, "We Know How," but also as a heartfelt recognition of the invaluable trust and unwavering support from Nepal's key shippers, freight forwarders, and ground handlers (GHA's).

Remarkably, this event marked a significant milestone as the first "Wings of Excellence" celebration since the onset of the global pandemic. Rajesh Menon, the Cathay Regional Head of Cargo for South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, graced the occasion with his presence, extending his sincere appreciation to Cathay Cargo's essential partners.

In addition to the heartwarming acknowledgments, the event served as the platform for the launch of Cathay Cargo's fresh brand campaign, "We Know How." This campaign places a spotlight on innovation, exceptional people, solutions, and service, and, importantly, the "magic" that lies at the core of Cathay Cargo's identity.

In his address at the event, Rajesh Menon expressed his deep gratitude, stating, "It is a true honor to connect with our esteemed partners from Nepal, whose enthusiasm and trust have greatly enriched our collaborative journey. I am truly excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to work together. Our collective adaptability, collaboration, and commitment to innovation have propelled us to become the preferred cargo solutions partner for transporting Nepal's world-class handicrafts to the global stage. As we navigate the path toward the new normal, we must bear in mind that our shared commitment to upholding our brand promise will guide us through the next phase of growth."

Junu Maleku, the Country Manager for Nepal, also shared insights, saying, "At present, we are harnessing the existing cargo belly capacity of the three weekly flights departing from Kathmandu. Effective November 2023, we will be elevating our capacity to four flights per week. 'Wings of Excellence' is a celebration and an acknowledgment of our exceptional partners, who have played an instrumental role in our accomplishments. We maintain a strong outlook for the Nepal market and look forward to the continued support of our stakeholders in driving the next phase of growth."
