The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has announced that the film ‘Aaina Jhyalko Putali’ will represent Nepal at the 95th Oscar Awards.
Bimal Paudel, the Chairmanship of Nepal’s International feature Film Selection Committee, Recommended Sujit Bidari, Director of ‘Aaina Jhalko Putali’.
Simipyaraj Timalsina, a member of the Committee says, “The received films were selected after analysing the technical aspect, narrative style and presentation, emotional analysis of the character and the artistry of the presentation. Aaina Jhyalko Putali is the film with the best artistry and was selected among other 2 films and made the last decision of sending this film to represent Nepal.”
“Aaina Jhyalko Putali '' is based on a story of a brother's desire, a sister’s dream and a mother’s struggle. The film stars Kanchan Chimiria, Dinesh Khatri, Siru Bista, Umesh Shrestha, Kshitij Limbu, Visha Rai, Mallika Shrestha, Raj Thapa, Madan Gupta and others in the film.
Committee invited filmmakers who are interested in joining the Oscar competition to submit the films by August 30, 2079. The three films joining Oscar competition from Nepal are ‘Prakash’ directed by Dinesh Raut, ‘Radha’ directed by Suvarna Thapa and at last ‘Aaina Jhyalko Putali’ directed by Sujit Bidari._Rss
