In a place far away from crowds and pollution, there exists a beautiful district called Mugu, where you will feel the cold of snow, smell the scent of apples, and see the beautiful mountain ranges. It is a district that holds a mountain called Chankheli which was printed in the Nepalese currency of Rs 1, it is the district where Yarshagumba hunting is carried out every year and it is the district that carries the biggest lake in Nepal, Rara. Besides these, people are unaware of Chhayanath Dham, Hrinimokshay Dham, and Mugum village.
Chhayanath Dham: It is counted as one of the holy places for Hindu people. It is located 5000m above sea level and is almost a 5-day walk away from the headquarters of Mugu district called Gamgadhi. The best time to travel here is Shrawan (July/August).

Hrinimokshya Dham: It is also considered a holy place that lies 4000m above sea level and is almost a 3-4 days walk from Gamgadhi. The best time to travel here is Shrawana and Bhadra (July to September). It is believed that people who visit here get freedom from the cycle of life, death, and rebirth.

Mugum: It is a village located at an altitude of 3000m above sea level. It is almost a 2-3 day walk away from Gamgadhi. The best time to travel here is from Baishak to Ashoj because, after Ashoj to Baishak, it is almost covered with snow, and hard to survive.

Besides above mentioned places, there are lots of other must-visit places in the Mugu district. If you love to travel, capture moments with nature, to lost in the snow, and discover a new way of surviving then Mugu is a place you should think of and add to a traveling cart.
