A great initiative by Hotel Shangri~La, the green future is the better future

Shangri-La Hotel and Resort has always been true to the concept that natural greenery should be part of life and so with this thought, over the years they have been maintaining the wonderful Sanctuary garden in Shangri-La Village Resort in Pokhara and award winning Hotel Shangri-La Kathmandu. As an extension of this ideology, they have been using different methodology to promote environment friendly practices by both their team and guest as well.

As the first month of Visit Nepal Year 2020 is going strong many guests are here to enjoy the nature of Nepal. So, today with the idea that nature can flourish and contribute to the natural beauty, Hotel Shangri-La Kathmandu initiated and organized the Tree Plantation Ceremony. Considering the quote by the famous Rabindranath Tagore ‘The one who plants tree knowing that he will never sit in its shade has at least started to understand the meaning of life’.

This tree plantation ceremony was organized for the future so that we have some involvement in the reduction of carbon footprint in the future. To be the part of this great  initiation Hotel Shangri-La Kathmandu invited special guests, Miss Nepal World 2010 Sadichha Shrestha, Miss Global Nepal 2012 Neelam Chand, Chairman of hidden treasure Subarna Chhetri and Miss Nepal International 2012 Subeksha Khadka. Guests and hotel staffs also participated with grace in this positive initiation.
