Cafe Annamaya was established to promote and make veganism an option in Nepal with their delighted vegan menu, and a non-vegan menu when in need for carbs. The cafe takes quite the interest in helping their customers live a healthy life by providing protein packed dishes, with, a side of love. Their menu consists of numerous healthy options, and their signature dishes are the bowls. These bowls are filled with various types of vegetables, fruits, pickles, and anything one could imagine.
Buddha Bowl
We first tried the Buddha Bowl which consists- of quinoa, a fried egg, homemade kimchi, mushroom, spinach, cucumber and tomatoes. The combnation of these ingredients and the flavours-create a divine feeling for your taste buds.You can never go wrong with mixing anything in the bowl. Each content compliments the other.Once you taste Annamaya’s signature bowls, going back to eating salads- just won't feel right.
Hummus Sandwich
Beside their signature bowls, Annamaya also serves sandwiches.The crowd favourite, Hummus Sandwich. This sandwich is filled with homemade hummus, tomatoes, radish, cucumber and carrots between crispy healthy brown breads, with a side of lettuece. The sandwich is a perfect meal for when you want to try something healthy. As said, the homemade hummus makes the dish extra healthy, and fill you up.
Ginger Kombucha and Coffee Kombucha
These drinks are perfect for summer when you need an alternate for sodas The ginger kombucha leaves you with a sweet aftertaste whereas the coffee kombucha taste just as it sounds - interesting. The special thing about this drink is that the coffee feels light yet, keeps you energised.
