This project has been launched in Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari of Province No. 1. Katha Nepal organised a 'media interaction' program in Bhadrapur and informed about the project. The project has been started with the idea of giving them necessary training, counselling and sustaining them in the country.
Under the project, activities such as job creation for those returning from abroad, capacity building, making it possible to use the knowledge-skills acquired abroad in the country will be carried out. A Welcome home project has been implemented in the entire district, according to the story of Nepal. Kriti Rai conducted the program and Siwani Bhattarai, the representative of Nepal, gave the closing speech.
“The project was launched with the aim of supporting the economic integration of those who came back after suffering from abroad and brought knowledge and skills.” said Tara Prasad Badharia, National Coordinator of Katha Nepal.
“There is an action plan to identify and solve the problems experienced in the labour market. There is a situation where we have to return from abroad and go abroad again. We work to bring them back to employment by providing the necessary training and establishing them in the society.” He added.
“There are some strange situations where both family and property are left behind when returning from abroad. Women who have gone abroad and come back are in more trouble. We are working to establish them in the society with respect. In search of employment, Nepali manpower is moving abroad towards unity, while there is a shortage of labour force in the country, so there is a situation where many people are working from neighbouring countries.” Said Manju Gurung from Pourakhi Nepal.
“Around 5,000 people from the Bhadrapur city area went for foreign employment. The municipality has been working on financial literacy, counselling, entrepreneurship, etc. for those returning from foreign employment and some achievements have been achieved.” Said Ganesh Pokharel, head of Bhadrapur municipality
“Foreign employment should be seen as an opportunity and it has become mandatory. Subsistence-oriented agriculture and foreign employment have dominated the economy. Even if it works to some extent in alleviating poverty, it will not benefit in the long term.” Said Chief District Officer of District Administration Office Jhapa Chabilal Rizal
“Daily 2,300 Nepalese are going abroad and three to five dead bodies are entering Nepal. The role of the local government is important to end such a situation, so it should be done.” said officer chabilal.
“It is only possible with everyone's cooperation and efforts. It is time for us to do something ourselves.” he added._Rss
