In Parbat, the Baglung Municipality-1 Bangechour and Khusma Municipality-1 Aduwabari are connected by a 567-meter-long suspension bridge. Anyone entering Baglung these days is drawn to that bridge. People are curious to see the bridge.

The natural beauty seen from the bridge built over the holy Kaligandaki River is also fascinating. The country's longest suspension bridge towards 'Singal Spam' is 165 meters high. Even girls from Falebas in the mountains were seen enjoying themselves on the bridge in the afternoon.

There was a rush to take pictures and make ticks. Although they did not want to reveal their names, they said that it was the first time that they had built such a long suspension bridge. They said that they had gone out for a holiday after the festival.

The bridge was built at a cost of Rs 122.2 million through the Suspension Bridge Division Office of the Local Infrastructure Development Department under the Ministry of National Affairs and General Administration. Chairman Chokhal opined that the situation of domestic tourists coming to Baglung to spend the whole day and return in the evening should be changed.

“I was slightly scared while crossing the bridge, it was an exciting experience. The scenery around the bridge also attractive,” said Reshma Dhungana Baral, who participated in the trip.

“The Bridge is crowded with hundreds of tourists every day. Most of the people who come to visit Kalika Bhagwati also come to see the bridge. Tourists have started coming from big cities and outer districts including Pokhara” said Jay Bahadur KC, Baglung-1 Ward President.

“Shahid Udyan, which is located next to it, has increased the attraction of the bridge to some extent. After the construction of the bridge, the life of the common people became easier and tourist activities increased. By opening small restaurants and eateries, local residents are involved in income generation.” He added.

“Baglung is also being established as a tourist destination, but it is necessary to give tourists a tour package that includes staying for one or two nights. Tourism professionals and other stakeholders should sit together and make a plan for tourism promotion, our future is in tourism.” Said President Chokhal.

“It is not easy to bring in tourists and there is a lack of infrastructure and promotion. Even the tourism master plan of Baglung has not been made. Tourists who come to Baglung for a short time visit the Kalika Bhagwati Temple, Long Suspension Bridge, Panchkot, Shaligram Museum etc.” he added.

“Baglung has got a new destination after the bridge was built. The long bridge has added a new tourist attraction, tourists are also coming from outside.” Arjun Chokhal, president of Hoteliers Association of Gandaki Province._Rss
