Two women who had returned home from India during the government imposed lockdown gave birth while in quarantine in Doti

Two women kept in quarantine have given birth in Doti District. These women had returned home from India along with their husbands during the lockdown.

Geeta Aauji delivered at the quarantine set up at the Devi Secondary School at Khatiwada of Silgadhi municipality-2. There are 74 people in this quarantine, said Rajendra Khadka, the Silgadhi municipality-2 ward chair. Aauji had returned home along with her husband on May 25.

Khadka said the new mother and her child are in normal health and they would be sent into home quarantine if the mother and child tested negative for coronavirus once their test results were available.

Similarly, Pooja Sarki, 25, has given birth at the Bhawani Basic School Khanyadi Chhadimandau quarantine facility in Shikhar municipality-3. She had returned home from Mumbai, India along with her husband on May 29, said Harish Shah, the municipality's health coordinator. Shah said the new mother and her baby are in normal health condition.
