Nepal has welcomed an impressive 890,678 foreign tourists in the first ten months of 2023, marking a significant surge in tourist arrivals.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board, the month of October alone witnessed the entry of 117,000 tourists via air routes. This is a notable increase compared to the 88,582 tourists who visited Nepal in the same month of the previous year, 2022.
Among the top source countries for tourists in October, India led the way with 18,480 visitors, followed by the USA with 14,879, the UK with 8,217, China with 6,880, Australia with 6,075, Germany with 5,911, France with 5,271, Bangladesh with 4,292, Sri Lanka with 2,507, and Italy with 2,467.
Nepal's allure as a travel destination continues to captivate people from across the globe, with these remarkable figures reflecting the growing interest in the country's rich cultural and natural treasures.
