Pokhara has always been famous place trekking because of its location which is near to a lot of mountains. Some of these points include Poon Hill, Annapurna Base Camp, Dhampus Trek, Muktinath & Jomsom Trek, Royal Trek, Mardi Himal Trek and so on. One need to have some technical skills, healthy body ad mentally stable in order to try this activity as trekking is never a cup of tea. You can take a tourist bus or taxi if you are coming from Kathmandu. The journey usually lasts for 6-7 hours long. Taxis are also available from nearby cities and from India also. Alternatively, you can take a flight from Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport) which will land you on Pokhara Airport.
