A disinfection tunnel has been set up at Nagdhunga, an entrance to Kathmandu, the federal capital of Nepal. Sundar Yatayat, a transport entrepreneur operating electric vehicles in the Kathmandu Valley, has initiated the setup of the tunnel after getting permission from the government, said the Yatayat sources.
The tunnel has come into operation today. The project aims to spray vehicles entering the Valley from coronavirus by spraying them with sodium hypochlorite, said chairperson of the Yatayat, Bhesh Bahadur Thapa. A tank with storing capacity of 6,000 litres sodium hypochlorite has been set up, he said.
