RyanAir recollecting after closing base in Frankfurt Airport

It has reported that it is closing its base in Frankfurt and relocating its five planes due to other airports that have given the carrier "lower airport charges to stimulate traffic recovery." 

Ryanair, the budget airline based in Dublin, has announced plans of shutting down its base at Frankfurt Airport, the busiest airport in Germany. In addition, it will stop serving flights there from the end of March. It has reported that it is closing its base in Frankfurt and relocating its five planes due to other airports that have given the carrier "lower airport charges to stimulate traffic recovery." 

The airline had been complaining about the airport choosing "to increase prices even further, making Frankfurt uncompetitive with European airports", rather than providing incentives to stay there as the aviation industry being stifled in the wake of COVID-19's impact. 

The company has claimed that all crew of Frankfurt-based flights "can secure alternative positions within Ryanair network and that any interruptions or cancellations would have notified to refunded to customers "over the coming days".
