The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure has started the work of upgrading the road from Ward No. 1 Ratnechaur to Arjam, Ward No. 2 Jamrukkot, Syanalek, Torakhet, and connecting Ward No. 3 Bhakimli of Beni Municipality.
In Bhakunde and Upallachaur areas, dozers are going to widen the roads and laborers are going to build walls and drains. The road was opened in the year 2056 and is used by the residents of Ward No. 1, 2 and 3 of Beni Municipality.
For road construction, a contract was signed between Gajendra-Nayabato JV and Road Division Office Baglung on August 6, 2079, for Rs 23 crore 32 lakh excluding VAT. The federal government had allocated Rs 40-40 crores to carry out road projects of strategic importance in all constituencies on the recommendation of directly elected MPs.
In the first phase, the target is to cover a distance of nine kilometers from Upallachaur to Ward No. 3 Torakhet of Beni Municipality. The road has been opened from Kimchaur in Bhakimli-Barangja-Arman to Tarakhola. Earlier, one kilometer, 300 meters of black paper, and 300 meters of road slope were built from Ratnechaur to Upallachaur, which is the entry point of the road, from the budget of the federal government.
It is expected that the residents of Ratnechaur, Upallachaur, Salghari, Arjam, Faparkhet, Bhakunde, Syanalek, Torakhet, and Bhakimli will be able to facilitate evacuation, transportation, and movement after the road is blackened.
An agreement has been reached to widen the road by nine meters and lay seven kilometers of DBSD technology and two kilometers of RCC slopes. Likewise, work will be done to improve the roundabout and turn and adjust the grade. At present, there is a problem of four to five-meter-wide roads becoming dusty in winter and slippery in winter.” said Arun Sedhai, the owner of the construction company.
"The construction company has signed a contract for the construction of this road, which is included in the One Constituency One Road project," informed Tek Bahadur Thapa, Ward President of Beni-1.
“Within the specified period of 30 months, the road construction work will be completed along with the mobilization of equipment and workers.
“The three main strategic roads of Myagdi were not included in any of the programs and he recommended the Ratnechaur-Bhakunde-Bhakimli-Baranja road project as it connects with Tarakhola Rural Municipality of Baglung,” said Outgoing MP Bhupendra Bahadur Thapa
"Beni-Dana road Kaligandaki Corridor and Beni-Darwang road is in the program of the state government. This road dug in the financial year 2055-56 is recommended for upgrading as it is another strategically important road of the district.” he added._Rss
