Chief District Officer of three districts in the Kathmandu Valley on recommendations by the District-level Crisis Management Centre extended the prohibitory order

Prohibitory order has been extended by one more week in Kathmandu Valley. Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Janakraj Dahal, shared that the restriction order has been extended till September 2 midnight and is effective in all three districts of Kathmandu Valley.

Issuing a notice today, the District Administration Office said that the prohibitory order has been extended by one more week. The Office also urged all to comply with the order as the coronavirus infection is spreading.

A meeting of Chief District Officer of three districts in the Kathmandu Valley had taken place on Tuesday to take a decision on this issue.  The District-level Crisis Management Centre had recommended extending the prohibitory order by a week in the meeting. The prohibitory order has been extended on the basis of this recommendation.

A meeting comprising chief district officer of three districts in the Valley had issued prohibitory order for a week to be implemented from August 19 midnight and the prohibitory order terminates from this midnight.

Except for essential services no activities or movement would be allowed. Prohibitory order has been issued in around 50 districts including Kathmandu Valley.

Entry of vehicles except essential goods, vehicles of health workers and security personnel has been restricted in Kathmandu Valley.  Movement of all public and private vehicles has been prohibited in Kathmandu Valley.
