The Western Regional Hotel Association, Pokhara has urged hotel entrepreneurs to adopt preparedness for the reoperation of hotels following the removal of nationwide lockdown on July 22.

"Hotel business has been marred by the protracted nationwide lockdown. It has been urged that an enabling environment should be ensured targeting the peak tourist season while utilising this free time at present when tourist arrival is almost zero due to COVID-19," reads the statement issued by the Association's President Bikal Tulachan.

The Association will provide training and facilitate the purchase of safety materials for hotel employees as per hotel operation protocol. The hotel entrepreneurs have been asked to adopt internal preparedness, said the statement.

It is the responsibility of all hotel entrepreneurs to resume closed hotels by following the hotel operation procedure, said the Association.
