As nationwide lockdown is in force, more than 100 Nepalese coming home from India have been stranded in the eastern border of Panitanki since early morning today. They are awaiting approval from the officials to enter Nepal.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Area Police Office, Kakadbhitta, Rajendra Pokhrel said that Indian police officials have informed the Nepalese side that more than 100 Nepalese are staying in the Indian territory expecting to return home. Pokhrel added that there was no order issued to let anyone enter Nepal from the border point.
On Monday, a total of 731 Nepalese had come to Nepal from India while Nepalese officials issued approval to 2,236 Indians to go to India through the border point.
