Tourism in Nepal continues to regain momentum in 2024, with the month of September recording a total of 96,305 tourist arrivals, marking a 5.82% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This growth also represents a 4.00% increase compared to the pre-pandemic figures of 2019, signaling a steady recovery of Nepal’s tourism industry.

Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic in recent years, Nepal’s tourism sector has shown remarkable resilience. The recovery is particularly significant when viewed against the backdrop of 2020, when the country saw a record low of just 584 arrivals in September due to COVID-19 lockdowns and travel restrictions.
