The Meteorological Forecasting Division of Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that light to moderate rain is likely to occur across the country today. Chances of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places of Province 1 and Bagmati Province are likely, according to the Division. At present, light to moderate rain is occurring in most of the parts of the country.
The Division said that some places of Province 1, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini have witnessed light to moderate rainfall due to low pressure line of the monsoon near the southern part of the country.
The Kathmandu Valley has also received light rain from early morning today.
Likewise, generally to mostly cloudy weather is forecasted tonight in the country. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and at a few places of Karnali Province and Sudur Pashchim Province, the Division said.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 20 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 29 degrees Celsius today.
