While Ryanair has gone through a myriad of obstacles and problems in recent months like the closing of the Frankfurt Airport, it has also seemed ambitious in its goals towards the future with the releasing of the largest summer schedule every released by Ryanair in 2021 with over 900 weekly flights. Now, the budget airline has improved its long-term outlook with an expected carry load of 225 million passengers annually by 2026.

While, the Omicron variant has certainly slowed the recovery with a reported loss of almost a 108 million dollars, it was an improvement of the 2020 loss of 360 million dollars to the budget airline.  The airline carried about 31 million passengers all around the world, up by 8 million from the last quarter of 2020.

Ryanair stakeholders and executive believe that with Omicron being a milder case of COVID-19 along with rollout of booster vaccines in Europe, its main market, will help countries to remove travel restrictions and restore confidence by summer 2022. Therefore, they improved their outlook of 2026 annual passenger load from 200 million to 225 million passengers.
