This year’s lunar eclipse will occur on the Kartik Shukla full moon on the 22nd of Kartik. The partial lunar eclipse is referred to as such by the Nepal Panchang Judging Committee due to the moon rising at 05:11 in the evening.

It is mentioned in the 'Rashtriya Panchangam' published by the committee called Khagras because the eclipse covers the entire moon. The eclipse will be clearly visible after sunset at 05:13 PM.

Before this, there was a solar eclipse on the 8th of Kartik, Tuesday, on the day of Kartik Krishna Aunsi. In this way, the committee said that there will be an eclipse on both sides of the month of October this year.

“The eclipse will be abolished at 05:27 pm. It can be received at 06:34 pm. The eclipse will be visible from Nepal for one hour and 23 minutes.” Said Surya Prasad Dhungel, executive director of the committee

“It is mentioned in the scriptures that sutak starts nine hours before the lunar eclipse. From 08:11 AM on Tuesday, 22nd of Kartik, food is prohibited except for children, the elderly, and the sick.” Said Prof. Dr. Ramachandra Gautam, a theologian.

“Only after the eclipse is over at 06:34 in the evening, one can eat. There is a scriptural saying that performing activities such as chanting, bathing, meditation, reciting, etc. during the eclipse will be fruitful.” He added._Rss
