The much-anticipated GAI presents 11th Food, Beverage & Hospitality Exhibition officially commenced with a brief inauguration ceremony cum mocktail reception at Bhrikuti Mandap, setting the stage for one of Nepal’s most significant industry gatherings.

Held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the exclusive, invite-only evening brought together distinguished guests, industry leaders, and hospitality professionals for an elegant opening that blended formal proceedings with vibrant networking opportunities.


A Confluence of Industry Leadership


The inauguration witnessed the presence of prominent figures representing Nepal’s hospitality and allied sectors, including:

  • - Hotel Association of Nepal President Binayak Shah
  • - Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal President Shangharsha Bista
  • - Fast Food Association of Nepal President Homraj Shrestha
  • - Hospitality Purchase Managers' Forum Nepal Chapter President Kumar Koirala
  • - Chefs Association of Nepal President Padam Bahadur Ale Magar
  • - Event and Venue Association of Nepal Vice President Sarbagya Muni Tuladhar
  • - Federation of National Party Palace and Catering Service Association President Kitendra Ratna Shakya
  • Nepal Retailers Association President Pabitra Bajracharya

Their presence underscored the exhibition’s importance as a unified platform for collaboration across Nepal’s hospitality ecosystem.

Speaking at the event, Birendra Rajkarnicar, President of House of Rajkarnicar, reflected on the exhibition’s delayed timeline, originally planned for September 2025 but postponed due to national circumstances.

He outlined an ambitious roadmap for the future, announcing:

  • - The next F&B Exhibition scheduled for 5–8 May 2027
  • - A nationwide roadshow across Chitwan, Lumbini, and Pokhara later this September
  • - The first-ever international expansion to India, with a debut in Varanasi

The India edition aims to target key regions such as Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, in collaboration with Indian trade networks. A major highlight will be Nepali culinary art demonstrations, designed to introduce Indian chefs to authentic Nepali flavours—placing special emphasis on the globally loved momo.

Echoing this vision, the President of Hotel Association of Nepal highlighted the broader goal of promoting gastronomy tourism between Nepal and India, while also strengthening Nepal’s positioning in:

  • - Destination weddings
  • MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions)

Industry leaders collectively commended the organisers for creating a platform that brings hospitality suppliers, brands, and decision-makers under one roof, while also offering constructive suggestions for enhancing future collaborations through pre-event coordination with key stakeholders.

The formal inauguration was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a token of appreciation presentation to honoured guests by Managing Director Meenu Rajkarnicar.

The evening seamlessly transitioned into a mocktail reception, where leading brands showcased an array of food, beverage, and hospitality innovations. The atmosphere reflected a dynamic blend of business exchange, product discovery, and meaningful dialogue—hallmarks of a thriving industry event.
