Kami Rita to lead a team to fix Everest and Lhotse Routes

Their main objective is to fix the routes from Camp II to the summit of Everest and Lhotse while local sherpas tasked by the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee will fix the routes between base camp and Camp II

With the much-anticipated mountaineering season coming up in spring, a team of 8 Sherpas from Seven Summit Treks under Expedition Operator Association of Nepal (EOA) under the leadership of the legendary climber Kami Rita Sherpa will be leaving for the routes leading up to Mt Everest and Lhotse. 

Their main objective is to fix the routes from Camp II to the summit of Everest and Lhotse while local sherpas tasked by the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee will fix the routes between base camp and Camp II. Kami Rita Sherpa also has her personal goal to break her record for the most amount of ascents (25 ascents) to Mt Everest this season. The team has projected to fix the routes over both peaks by the first week of May.
