Expressing great concern over the global spread of the coronavirus, Nepal Tourism Board has decided to suspend issuance of the Trekking Information Management System (TIMS) card.
COVID-19 has turned out to be a global pandemic. At this moment of crisis and following a series of decisions of the Government of Nepal to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19 in the county, NTB is suspending the issuance of TIMS card to trekkers for various trekking areas in Nepal.
With this, all the TIMS card issuance counters shall remain closed from March 20, 2020, until further notice.
