A 34-year-old person who had been in isolation in the Butwal-based temporary corona special hospital died today. A sample of his swab was sent to Teku-based National Public Health Laboratory for coronavirus testing just this morning.
According to Lumbini State Hospital's medical superintendent Dr Rajendra Khanal, the cause of his death is yet to be confirmed as the test result is awaited. He was a foreign migrant worker and had returned home on March 19. He had mild fever upon the arrival and was taken to a rest at home for a week. “He had visited the state hospital last Friday as the fever continued and he was admitted to the isolation ward as per doctor's advice,” said State Hospital's focal person senior physician Dr Sudarshan Thapa. Members of his family have been made to remain in quarantine at home until his test report comes.
