On 28th July 2025 – Intrepid Travel marked a major milestone with the introduction of Intrepid Day, a new annual celebration held on 24 July to honor the company's around-the-clock global presence and mission-driven travel ethos.
The event brought together teams across Intrepid’s 31 international offices, featuring community-driven events and pop-up activations in key cities including Melbourne, Toronto, and London. In Melbourne, the company’s global headquarters, the day included street giveaways, social media collaborations, and free Urban Adventures day tours for over 1,000 travellers worldwide.

In Nepal, the Intrepid DMC team embraced the day with a full program reflecting the theme of Culture, Connection, and Community. Activities began with a cleanup of the historic Changunarayan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, followed by planting over 200 trees in collaboration with a local forest community group.
The celebrations continued with a shared meal featuring traditional Newari dishes and live folk music, including a performance by the Gandharva community using the sarangi, a culturally significant Nepali instrument. This helped spotlight the importance of preserving Nepal’s endangered cultural traditions.
The team also explored Bhaktapur, another UNESCO site, led by Urban Adventure guides who helped rediscover hidden courtyards, museums, and the town’s often-overlooked beauty. Along with all the celebrations, we also raised funds for our TIF partner, Sagarmatha Next, with generous support from our wonderful suppliers.

Global Fundraising Success
Intrepid Day achieved remarkable success in supporting The Intrepid Foundation, the company’s not-for-profit arm.
In Nepal, we proudly contributed by raising funds for our local partner Sagarmatha Next, made possible thanks to the generous support of our suppliers. The effort echoed the core values of the day—Culture, Connection, and Community.
Globally, the Intrepid community came together to raise AUD $50,000 in just one day—more than double the initial goal of $24,000. To date, the total impact has reached AUD $150,000, benefiting over 50 grassroots partners around the world.
Over 500 donations were made between 7am and midnight AEST, helping not only to generate critical funding but also to raise awareness of the vital work being done by Intrepid’s local partners and to grow its global network of purpose-driven supporters.

Top contributing offices included:
Morocco – Amal Association
New Zealand – Forest & Bird
Ecuador – Galapagos Conservancy
Sri Lanka – Zero Plastic
India – Positive Change for Marine Life
Japan – Japan Rescue Association
North America – National Parks Conservation Association

An additional 139 donations were made to the Foundation’s general fund, amplifying the global impact of this new tradition. Intrepid Day will now continue as an annual celebration of purpose-driven travel and lasting community impact.
