The hoteliers in Bandipur, a hilltop settlement in Tanahu district, have announced attractive discount offers to attract domestic tourists.

The discount offer (up to 10 to 15 percent) in all the restaurants and hotels here is expected to lure as many as domestic tourists and revive the COVID-hit tourism in the place famous for its verdant forest, high hills, and picturesque Mountainview from the hilltops.

Regional Hotel Association (RHA), Bandipur Chapter President Bipin Pradhan shared that the discount comes into effect during the festival time. Pradhan further said that there was no alternative to announce discount offers in the restaurants and hotels here to revive tourism and to attract domestic tourists.

There are as many as 77 hotels in Bandipur that are associated with the RHA. Furthermore, it was shared that all the restaurants and hotels had adhered to the health safety measures ordered by the government to control the spread of COVID-19.

Situated at an altitude of 1030 meters from the sea level, Bandipur is predominantly a Newar settlement. Most of the houses, hotels, and restaurants in this commercial town are made as per the Newari architecture (Bhaktapure Style).

It boasts of temples of various Gods and Goddesses such as Thani Mai, Tindhara, Khadkadevi, Bindhyabasini and ancient caves, lush green forests, and a spectacular view of mountains such as Annapurna, Machhapuchre, and Dhaulagiri among others
