The South Asian Travel Awards 2025 has begun its evaluation process in Colombo, Sri Lanka, marking the start of a regional tour to assess top tourism and hospitality contenders. A distinguished jury will review nominees across several South Asian cities leading up to the grand awards ceremony in September.

The South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) has commenced evaluations for its 9th edition, starting in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This marks the beginning of a regional tour aimed at recognizing excellence in the tourism and hospitality industries across South Asia.

A distinguished jury panel of three members will evaluate Sri Lankan nominees from May 6th to 11th, before moving on to evaluate properties and services in Bengaluru, India. The evaluation process will span several major South Asian cities, including New Delhi, Kathmandu, Paro, Dhaka, and Malé, ensuring comprehensive regional participation and acknowledgment.

Over the past eight years, SATA has established itself as a premier platform celebrating outstanding contributions to the tourism and hospitality sector in South Asia. The awards recognize excellence across a wide range of categories, from hotels and resorts to service providers and innovative tourism initiatives.

The evaluation journey will conclude with the SATA 2025 Gala Ceremony, taking place on September 19–20 in Negombo, Sri Lanka. The event will bring together industry leaders, government officials and international media to honor this year’s winners.
