In 2022, with many airlines ravaged by the ill effects of the pandemic, Emirates hopes to pioneer the recovery of their airline by boosting the number of flights all around the world. One of the focal points of Emirates has been England where the carrier increased the no of flights to and from Gatwick with the airline now providing double-daily to any visitors interested to visit UAE.
This increase in air services has been following the quick restart of the Emirates air operations across hubs in the UK after the relaxing of travel restrictions in the country. The introduction of double daily flights from Gatwick Airport will bring the Emirates' total UK weekly flights up to 91. These routes have mainly been served by the Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft.
The Emirates have justified their increase in services by saying that they have seen quite an increase in demand for international travel to and from the UK in recent weeks and are pleased to work with Gatwick Airport to expand their services. Emirates hopes to provide and improve vital connectivity between the two countries and the international network for travellers of any type. The flights for cargo travel have also increased significantly in this route with billions of pounds worth of cargo being transferred through this route.
