Elephant dies at Sauraha

An elephant, which was brought to Sauraha by the Tiger Ecology Project 37 years ago, died this morning.

The elephant named Kritikali was under the protection of the National Trust of Nature Conservation, Suraha. It was around 70 years of age. The death was probably due to old age, Trust chief Ram Kumar Aryal said.

The animal was found dead this morning. It was buried after a test by a veterinary team.
